Biography of artist: Christopher Stone

Christopher Stone, The Lost Artist, is a British sculptor, painter, and designer whose career spans more than five decades. He trained at Hornsey College of Art and Central Saint Martins in London, and spent 18 years working alongside the sculptor Barry Flanagan, contributing to the production of major works now part of the international contemporary art landscape.

Working across sculpture in corten steel, bronze, and fiberglass, as well as painting on paper and canvas, Stone has developed a distinctive visual language combining industrial form, humour, colour, and narrative instinct. His practice moves between large-scale public sculpture and more intimate works on paper, unified by a strong sense of immediacy and composition. His work is held in private collections across Europe and beyond.

Stone is currently exhibiting at the Art and Soul International Sculpture Exhibition in Ireland alongside leading international artists including Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Banksy, Damien Hirst, and Tracey Emin.

He is represented by Gormley’s Fine Art (Ireland) and Olas Gallery (Ibiza). While his career has largely unfolded outside the mainstream spotlight, his work has gained steady recognition from collectors, galleries, and fellow artists over many years of continuous practice.

Based in Ibiza, Stone continues to produce new sculpture and painting, drawing on a lifelong engagement with material, form, and visual storytelling.
